Treat your hardworking feet to a little TLC!
Soothe and pamper your feet, and get them sandal-worthy. Here's how to give your tootsies a professional pedicure spa treatment -- at home!

Perfect Pedicure 101

1. Remove old polish.
Remove any existing polish with an acetone-free formula. For stubborn polishes, soak a cotton pad in nail-polish remover, then press on the nail for a few seconds before wiping away.

2. Trim toe nails straight across with clippers.
Trimming this way helps prevent in-grown nails, which occurs when the flesh around the nail closes in against the sides of the nail and causes the nail to dig painfully into your flesh.

3. File nail edges smooth.
Using a nail file or an emery board, file your nails in one direction until they are square and gently rounded at the corners.

4. Soak away stress.
Soak your feet in a foot bath or large bowl filled with warm water, some bath salts and a tablespoon of olive oil. The salts will soften up calluses and dry skin, while the olive oil moisturizes. Soak feet for 5 to 10 minutes, then use a nail brush to scrub the nails.
